Seminars on drug research and development
The Chair and Department of Physical Chemistry and Biophysics invite for a cycle of seminars on drug research and development. The seminars will be conducted in English by Prof. Josef Jampílek (Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia).
Professor Jampílek is a specialist in pharmaceutical sciences and medicinal chemistry. He is an author/co-author of more than 30 patents/patent applications, more than 200 peer-reviewed scientific publications, 7 university textbooks, more than 30 chapters in monographs, and many invited lectures at international conferences and workshops. The research interests of Prof. Jampílek include design, synthesis, and structure-activity relationships of heterocyclic compounds as anti-invasive and anti-inflammatory agents as well as nanosystems. He is also interested in ADME, drug bioavailability and solid-state pharmaceutical analysis. He specialized in research on the structure and activity of anti-infection, anti-inflammation and anti-tumor drugs.
The seminars will be held at the Chair and Department of Physical Chemistry and Biophysics (ul. Borowska 211A, Wrocław) according to a schedule presented below. To ensure the epidemiological safety of all involved, the number of participants is limited – you can sign up via e-mail (email@example.com). Please provide your name and list the seminars you want to take part in. The participation will be possible after a confirmation of the enrollment by an employee of the Chair.

50th anniversary of Polymers in Medicine!
as the editor-in-chief of Polimery w Medycynie – Polymers in Medicine, Polish scientific journal of international range, I would like to inform you that our journal is open to scientific, original and review publications in the field of production, evaluation, application and development of polymers of natural and synthetic origin in pharmacy and medicine, and in other fields related to medicine. Our journal is an author-friendly, English-language, peer-reviewed platform for the exchange of information between scientists from around the world. I would like to invite you to present the results of your research and reviews in our periodical. In the 50th anniversary of our journal, I would like to convey to you my best wishes for progress in research work and encourage you to publish in the anniversary edition of Polymers in Medicine.
Prof. Witold Musiał, PhD, DSc., Pharm.
Index Copernicus (ICV) 2020
Our Index Copernicus has risen from 115.07 points for 2019 to 120.63 for 2020. It’s a clear proof that our hard work and the efforts of the previous editorial board have measurable results – and that our contributions to the world of scientific journals are meaningful.
Changes in publication rules
Please note that since October 1, 2021 after the article is published as ahead of print, it cannot be changed (which encompasses also affiliations and authors’ order). Such stipulation stems from requirements set by scientific databases in which the papers published in Polymers in Medicine are stored.
If the article is already accessible online as registered preprint on any website or in any database, and has been already assigned with a DOI, such information, together with an URL of the registered preprint, has to appear in the cover letter.
Please read thoroughly and familiarize yourself with our new statistical guidelines.
Two new sets of guidelines
Since January 27, 2021 the journal Polymers in Medicine is headed by new Editor-in-Chief – Prof. Witold Musiał from Wroclaw Medical University (medicine and pharmaceutical science) and new Deputy Editor-in-Chief – Dr. Konrad Szustakiewicz from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (biotechnology and bioengineering). Under new leadership, the journal is accepting manuscripts only in English, with the aim of being fully accessible to the international scientific community. The articles will continue to be accompanied by abstracts in Polish.
Original version of the journal
From January 1, 2017, online edition is the original version of all published articles.
